Description The D9046 measures the static adhesion known as blocking which can exist between layers of certain types of plastic films. The D9046 increases the accuracy and speed of blocking tests and meets or exceeds all conditions specified by ASTM D3354. The D9046 features a magnetic clamp to securely hold the sample in place, eliminating the need for tape. The platen open- ing is 0.750 inches ±.001 and is sensed with an LED system. The force required for separation is directly displayed in tenths of a gram. All variables are monitored electronically to maximize accuracy and repeatability.
